# Spent the last few days making Christmas cards, don't think I have actually completed one yet but have quite a few half completed!!

# Finally pulled my finger out and got some walking boots, after trying mountain climbing with canvas shoes it really was time to invest in some decent boots for all the walking I am going to do.

# Saw Mamma Mia last week - really don't know what all the fuss was about I thought it was dreadful.

# I was surprised that Lee McQueen won The Apprentice, I really did think that Claire had it in the bag but then again if what I have heard about both finalists working with Sir Alan Sugar for six months before he makes the decision is true!

Back To The 80’s

Slush PuppieToday I took a trip back in time, it all started when I went to get my car washed at my local car wash (I find this the easiest and quickest way to clean my car) While I was sitting in the queue I decided that I would treat the car and have the top wash programme. As the car was travelling along the conveyer belt and all this soap/wax was being sprayed on to the car I believe I travelled back in time (no need to get up to 88mph) don’t think I travelled that far back in time only to the 1980’s when the slush puppie seemed to be all the rage. I can remember that the Woolworths in Carmarthen had a machine and seeing all the kids gathered around it on a Saturday. Now I don’t know what happened but I do remember hearing that these ice drinks could cause brain damage, the machine vanished from Woolworths so was it true?

Of course the Slush Puppie seems to have made a comeback, especially in these parts but I do seem to remember that originally you could get loads of different flavours and it was this syrup that was added to the ice. The one I had today was already prepared and did not seem as I remember so maybe something’s are best left in the past.
