Review – James Bond Quantum Of Solace

Bond is back in Quantum Of Solace and after the film I still have no idea of what the title means! James Bond - Quantum Of SolaceThis film kicks off directly after "Casino Royale" ended and in typical Bond style we are straight into the action with a car chase, with the captured Mr White restrained in the boot of Bond's Aston Martin DBS.

We learn that Mr White is a part of a much larger organisation that none of the intelligent services are aware existed, Mr White manages to escape and the stage has now been set for Bond to discover more about this secret organisation.

I am sure that most people would have heard the theme tune (Another Way To Die) by Jack White of The White Stripes and Alicia Keys, I have to admit I am not a fan and wonder where the title came from!

Anyway back to the film and Bond is soon on his way to Haiti…
show

Saw the film on Saturday and Daniel Craig does a good job as Bond but maybe I am still stuck in the past – I have come to expect the gun barrel sequence at the start of the film and other little things such as the gadgets but even with the last film the makers seem to have moved away from the old days. The film was actioned packed with the normal stunts you would expect from such a film, loads of hand to hand fighting so it ticks all those boxes. I would think you would either love it or hate it – loose ends are tied up at the end of the film.
