Ask Me A Question?

I was all set to be up bright and early today, well just after eight anyway! Yet I awoke to find myself in darkness at first I thought that my electric had run out but then I heard the fault alarm from the fire alarm, which immediately told me that it was a general power cut. So with no electricity to heat the water I decided to stay in bed a little longer, the power finally came back on just after half past nine! It was then straight to get my hair cut and to pay my credit card bills. Once that had been done I headed to the council offices to put my name on the list for a house, this is something I should have done ages ago but for various reasons I have kept putting it off and it looks like nothing has changed as the offices were closed, they would be open now but I don’t know if I can be bothered to go back there today.

Off to the cinema tonight to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner Of Azkaban where I will finally get to meet someone I have been talking to online. Have to admit that I am more than a little nervous, as this will be the first person I have met up with after only speaking to them online and you hear all these stories about people not getting on as well in the real world, of course there are countless other stories about people meeting up offline and getting on okay.

Oh well just have to go with the flow and see what happens if you don’t take risks then life would be very boring and really what is the worse that could happen?

Happy Birthday Nessa

Ask Me A Question?

I finally got the chance to write a letter of complaint to the owner of the local McDonalds franchise as I was home with no internet connection last night. The reason for the complaint is that last week I called into the restaurant, (I know calling McDonalds a restaurant but whatever) and ordered some food and was told to take a seat and my fries would be brought over when they were ready. After half an hour I had to go back to the counter to ask, of course I could have gone up and asked a lot earlier than that but I am stubborn and there was a principle at stake, so I finally got my fries to eat with my cold burger!

Rather annoyed as I was hoping to get another series box set of Stargate SG-1 and noticed that on Play.com that the older series box sets were only £29.99 with free delivery which made them a few pound cheaper than Amazon but they must have raised the prices as they were now selling for £44.99. Needless to say I wish I had ordered them a few days earlier!

This week I will finally get to meet someone I have been talking to online, which is a little worrying as you never know if you will hit it off in the real world, the advantage of sitting in front of a computer is that you can’t see any emotion so something may be said and not meant it is a lot harder to do that if you are face to face with some one.

Ask Me A Question?

Saw Spiderman 2 last night and have to admit that from what I remember of the first film I thought the second one was a lot better. I think everyone knows the story of how Spiderman was created so this film was something different. I have never read the comics so have no idea of how Doctor Octopus originally came to life but a good story. Rather funnily I was only reading about someone else bad experience at the cinema at Becster.com, all I had to put up with was some teenage girls who insisted on talking and laughing through most of the film, of course I should have realised that the cinema would be busier than normal as it is the school holidays.

My mother is back tomorrow so will have to get back into the habit of updating the site via the library now but saying that I have not really blogged that much this week in all honesty I have spent most of the time online talking with people which has been good.

Ask Me A Question?

Well I have spent most of the day on the computer, my mother is away on holiday so there was no one home so I get to avoid using the library computers for a change, in fact I have been using the computer at my mothers all week to go online. Today I have been working on my site, I had hoped to work on some emails but everything I need is on my computer.

Managed to update all the members who had joined the CSI Fanlist while I was away on holiday so that has been cleared and have been tweaking a few of the pages by updating some of the information here as well. Little things but they all lead to a better site or that is what I am hoping at any rate. I know I have said this before but I really will have to start working on some new content, my next big project will be to transfer and update my “Wales” web site to this domain.

I have heard from some of the people I met while in Spain, got an email off Emma and spoke to Rob on MSM, I will have to burn a CD with the photos I took to send to them. I have also managed to arrange to go and see Harry Potter at the cinema next week, little nervous about this as I shall be meeting someone from the online world in real life!

While in Spain by the pool looking at the various women and thinking of that old question I have been trying to answer and that was What does my ideal women look like? and I have to admit that I was unable to answer that question there were many women that I liked the look of, some I did not but there was no one particular look, well maybe there was but I am trying not to admit it! There was one young woman who had shoulder length brown hair, in fact her facial expressions reminded me of someone else I know or knew so maybe I am narrowing down options to discover my ideal looking women.

Starting to ramble now so a sure sign to log off the net!!

Ask Me A Question?

Well back from Spain so will and had a fantastic time and wish I was still there to be quite honest with you as I was greeted with traditional British weather on my return (Rain). The journey down to Calella, the resort we were staying at on the Costa Brava was a nightmare on the coach as it was a smoking coach and as a non-smoker I had to put up with a smoky atmosphere. The rest stops were not very frequent and someone died on the coach on the journey down, I don't intend to just brush over this as if the death of someone is not very important but I shall be going into more detail about this at a later stage. After getting on the coach at 5.30am Monday morning we finally got to our hotel the Bon Repos at 1.30pm on Tuesday. The hotel was three star and had its own pool and was pretty much central to the town and the beach, we checked in to our rooms I was given 103, my brother and his friend were next door in 104 and my mother was in 108. As we were on a "Specials" holiday we had free drinks at the hotel bar so wasted no time in propping up the bar, I am not a lager drinker by choice so for most of the week I was living on spirits at the hotel and we did not venture to far away from the hotel most of the time. It did take a little time to get use to the topless sunbathing on the beach and by the poolside and knowing where to look but that's the good thing about having reflective sunglasses no one can see where your looking!

The Gang (11k image)

Did make some new friends as show in the photo above starting from the back left you have Pete, Andre, Dean, Rob and myself the front row from right to left we have Emma, Julie and Kirk.

I was reminded of my time in Portugal when I was looking for people who spoke English and it is a lot harder to tell who speaks English just by looking at people or what they are wearing, and I had to look a lot closer to discover nationality. By the pool we could hear people talking and could then make a guess as to where they came from and at our hotel there were two large groups of girls who spoke English, it turned out that one group of five girls was from Wales so I was rather annoyed that I had not heard the accent!

Hard to try and compress ten days so think I will wait until I can do a detailed write up which will be added to the life history section of the site along with my write up of New Quay and the wedding, got quite a bit to do haven't I?

Things to look forward to:

* Me getting asked to leave "The Beach Boys Club"
* Me being a good Samaritan
* And other things I can't remember at the moment.

Back from Spain now and have used today to try and get some things sorted out, I arrived back at my place last night to find that the electric had run out which of course had defrosted the fridge. So today I restocked the fridge and when to the library to update some of the site which out much luck as the library computers as usual went down, I am sure it was because someone had unplugged one of the network leads when they were plugging in a digital camera!

I will try and get some sort of entry prepared by Sunday detailing some of my adventures in Spain for your enjoyment.

Well the weather here in Spain is fantastic and I have a lovely suntan coming (Sunburn) and been out every single night which is helped along by the free drinks in the hotel and all the "friendly" people over here.

Found a cybercafe where internet access was 1€ for 1 hour which is about 0.70p sterling so very cheap and I managed to delete all those annoying emails asking if I want to try Viagra or other such drugs so my inbox is clear again and fingers crossed it will stay like that until I get home.

Ask Me A Question?

Well I am packed and think I am ready for Spain; the question I need to ask is Spain ready for me. I hate the feeling I have forgotten something, when I was packing the case last night and am sure that I have everything but there is still that lingering doubt - oh well too late to do anything about it now.

So what have I been doing since Wednesday, to be quite honest very little really I did go to the cinema on Thursday to see Troy, which was okay, not the greatest film I have even seen but not the worst by a long shot. Once I get back from Spain I am hoping to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with a girl I have been talking to online which should be interesting as that will be the first time I have actually met up with anyone who I have met online. I also finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire so once I get back I think I will start on the Order of the Phoenix. Short entry as I still have loads to get done before setting off.
