Well the last of the turkey has been finished off today,
sorry that I have not had the opportunity to post anything yesterday but that is a lie what really happened is I did not make the time to post anything yesterday. Was in work at 10am and the manager was in one hell of a bad mood telling everyone that her Christmas had been spoilt because of the shop and once that caused no reaction it changed to become this store was getting her down and even her son was telling her to get out. Again no reaction just let her get on with it and grow up a little.
The sale did not go off to the greatest bangs but I did make a little money both today and yesterday and they have split the hours over the next week and a half so we are not all working 11-hour shifts but instead 8 hour split shifts. Think I have outstayed my welcome at my mothers house which is always hard to leave after 3 days of heating and internet access I am not looking forward to going back to my cold dank room but that will just have to give me the incentive to get up and find somewhere better.
Well off for now.

Look who we caught with the presents earlier today....
Iím really starting to flag now with the combination of the early starts and the late nights over the past few days and something not helped with having less than four hours sleep last night my eyelids feel very heavy and this in turn is giving me a headache.
I think has to be one of the best Christmases in regards to presents that I received as they are all things that I either needed or wanted, as you would expect the normal gifts of shower gels and body sprays and socks were there but among the items I got included: a couple of DVDs (Dawn Of The Dead - Remake, I Robot) got a surround sound system for my DVD player off my mother along with some clothes. Got the new Gillette Mach3 power razor off one of my brothers and have already cut my face up having a go using it lol Got some more clothes and bits and pieces off Kath which was lovely of her and got a wallet off her mother and can only hope that they had a great Christmas as well.
One thing that I have realised today is how much time I give (waste) online and I do wonder if it is really worth it especially as I tend to spend any spare time I have online maybe there is more important things in life and I need to make sure that I donít slip back into my old habits of spending my days off work stuck in front of the computer.

Merry Christmas everyone, well the big day is finally here and I donít know about everyone else but it does not feel very much like Christmas.
Well the past few days have been all go for me on Thursday night I phoned my good friend Olivia in Australia, take my advice never phone that far on a mobile phone it will cost an arm and a leg lol but it was still good to talk to her and what a sexy accent!
Yesterday I was up at 8am and decided to venture up to Swansea, well I got one of my mates to drive as I really did not want the hassle of having to find somewhere to pack but I was surprised to see just how quiet it was. A few of the shops had already started there sales but nothing caught my eye and the queues in HMV were massive, so I settled on going to the cinema to watch The Incredibles which was pretty good but I had a bad stomach most of last night so it was either the pop corn or the pizza I had yesterday.
I was up last night until 4am on the internet did not get to speak to all the people I wanted to but managed to catch up with Karen who I have not spoken to in ages so that was good. Even after going to bed at 4am I was still woken up by my brothers wanting to go downstairs at 8am oh well you only live once and it did give me the change to talk to Chelsey online another good friend from Australia who I have not spoken it in ages.
Going to open my presents now and Iíll be sure to take a few photos which I will upload later today.

Well it does not seem that long ago since last Christmas and what a year this has been but enough about that for now I will talk about the last twelve months went they are actually over.
I thought I would have a bit of a lie in this morning and get some final presents wrapped before venturing outside and I really wish I had stayed indoors now as town was packed with people looking for last minute presents and Tesco was pandemonium and while I was queuing some bloke who had been out shopping with his wife just lost it after someone bumped into him with a trolley! The bad thing was it was everyone including his wife who was getting the abuse in the end they called security to deal with him - well it is the most stressful time of the year!!
Went up to see Kath last night which was good, it was nice to see her and her family again and find out what has been happening with everyone. So I spent a few hours up there and have to admit at first I did not notice anything different with Kathís hair, seeing that it had been changed since I had last seen her but then again I had been expecting something radically different but when she pointed out what had been done I did notice the difference and very nice it was too.
Also set up my computer at my mothers last night and have been busy updating all the files, can you believe I had a copy of MSN Messenger version 5 on this computer so dread to think how out of date everything else is but for once it is good to be using a fast computer to access the net.
Well only 3 days before Christmas and they are saying that it is looking likely for snow, I really do hope so and that the roads get closed so that I donít have to go to work on Boxing Day.

No work for a couple of days so I shall try my best to get into the Christmas spirit and so far today I have been doing my Santa impression going down to Pembroke to visit my grandparents and I got to drive my brothers VW Golf which was pretty cool and no wonder it is so easy to break the speed limit in a car like that (1.8 GTI) but the important thing is it was not my petrol lol .
It really has been a long day as I was out late last night meeting up with Fox, Mole,Andrew,Catherine and I canít remember the spelling of the other girl so Fox leave a comment with the spelling and I shall amend this entry! It was a pretty good evening all the same but I was up at 8am this morning doing some last minute gift wrapping before meeting up with my brother. With any luck I will be going to see Kath later so in the meantime I will try and tidy my car a little and work out what I will do tomorrow and Friday.
Some one keeps viewing the site via Swansea University are you anyone I know??
3 days to Christmas and I have another Christmas song today and this one brings back many happy memories for me even if the song is not that great when you have listened to it repeatedly over the years
Song for today is Wonderful Christmastime ...
Tuesday, December 21, 2004
I finally finished work today at around 5.30pm and that was after the shop closed at 1pm and boy was I glad to get out, in the end we did not bother to dust or vacumn otherwise we would still be there. As usual the manager started to panic and this in turn wound up the rest of the staff and slowed everyone down so been a really long day seeing that we started at 9am this morning. Oh well don't have to think about work until Boxing Day but the next few days are going to be just as hectic
I managed to get a few more presents wrapped up last night but am starting to run out of time now as I will be visiting my grandparents tomorrow and maybe Kath to exchange presents (and get to see her new hairstyle)
So tonight I will be up until I have all of those presents at least finished! No Christmas song yesterday because i have not had the time and no song again today, so sorry pop pickers!!
Well only 4 days to Christmas.

Well only 5 days to Christmas.
Sunday, December 19, 2004
Well the area manager came to the shop today and the visit seemed to go well, I actually spoke to him for more than a few seconds which is a good thing seeing as I want to progress within the company. The last few days not really had much of a chance to post as we have been moving the shop around getting it ready for the Boxing Day sale, as we shall be closing on Tuesday. Originally we thought that we would be leaving just after 1pm but the area manager informed up today that the shop would close to the public at 1pm but we would be expected to work to normal times to put up all the new posters and price tickets so not very happy about that.
Well only 6 days to Christmas.
Today's Christmas song is Deck The Halls ...continue...
Saturday, December 18, 2004
Another tiring day at work and it does not look like it is going to get any easier as we are still waiting for the price tickets for the boxing day sale to turn up, the box they should have been in has been misplaced by the couriers so any plans of being out of work just after 1pm on Tuesday are looking less as less.
Well only 7 days to Christmas.
Today's Christmas song is Merry Christmas Everyone
Friday, December 17, 2004
I did post something earlier while at my mother's but something happened to the computer as it was uploading the entry and I had to reset the computer and had hoped that the entry had made it before the system crashed - it did not however!
Been a swine of a day in work but really too tired to talk about that now so only 8 days to Christmas
Song for today is The First Noel
Thursday, December 16, 2004
Hectic day in work today I had a feeling it would be as the area manager was down yesterday and said that everything had to be moved and in position by Sunday which is not that far away. So today saw us moving things around and building up new table ranges and the worse thing is that I know I will be doing exactly the same thing tomorrow and on Saturday.
Yesterday I went up to Llanelli and while at ASDA I did my good deed for the day when I saw this old woman buying some coke cola and I informed her that the bigger bottles were the same price, well I felt good anyway!!
9 days to Christmas..
Today's Christmas song is Merry Xmas Everybody ...continue...
Wednesday, December 15, 2004
Well I travelled up to Llanelli this afternoon to have a quick look around the shops and thought while I was up there I would call in to ASDA and give some Christmas cards to my friends who still work there. Of course no one was working today and I did not really want to leave the cards there for them as they would be very unlikely to get them - unless things have changed since I worked there!!
Wednesday, December 15, 2004
Work was a right pain yesterday as we had yet another range plan which meant that everything we had moved over the past few days would need to be moved elsewhere, as I said a few days ago the company seems incompetent in organising anything.
The manger had taken yesterday off so as far as I knew it would just be the four of us going for dinner. Dot did turn up once the shop was closed and alas I did have to drive to St Clears so that meant no drinking with my meal. The pub/restaurant (The Angel at Narberth)belonged to a customer who I had served a few weeks ago and as it was a fairly new business I thought it would be nice to put some business there way and no one else was doing much to organise the Christmas meal so I did.
First disappointment was that you had to pre book the set Christmas menu (which was a really good price) so we had to make do with the normal menu. I decided to have prawn cocktail as a starter
The food was okay as you can see from the photos, (I did get some looks when I was taking those but everyone knows I'm nuts) and that is all I will say about that as I have had better in the past but the evening went well but I shall have to wait until tomorrow to find out what snide comments have been made about the evening. Enough about that now
Been a busy bee this morning and have gotten all my Christmas cards written and sent off so only the ones that need to be hand delivered are left and try to get those sorted out in the next couple of days - hoping to go up to Llanelli later today. I had hoped to get some more presents wrapped up today as well but that is looking highly unlikely at the moment unless I can get a few done later tonight. I had better get a move on as it is only 10 days to Christmas!!
Todayís Christmas song is Once In Royal Davidís City
Tuesday, December 14, 2004
Why is there never enough time in the day, by the time I got home last night and had something to eat there was very little time left for anything else. I did watch a comedy drama on television last night called Canít Buy Me Love staring Martin Kemp and Michelle Collins about a couple who are having money problems and split up, Kempís character gets access to some money and to win his wife back convinces her that he has won the lottery when he has not and things soon get out of hand. It just goes to show how easy a little lie can snowball out of control but I guess that is why they say honesty is the best policy - if you tell the truth you canít get caught out!
I did get most of my Christmas cards sent yesterday, well all the ones that are going to the United States and I do have a few more days to get the local ones done so guaranteed those will be late
Tonight I am off to the staff meal, which will be a barrel of laughs (insert sarcasm here) Oh well Iím sure it will not be that bad it will just be the catty comments over the next few days that will start to annoy me. Manager is off work today and as I said yesterday will not be going tonight just like she did not go to the staff party last year, will find out later if Dot is going to go or whether she would have changed her mind as well. Not very happy as I thought I would be having a lift to the restaurant but it looks like I will have to take my car to St Clears and have a lift from there so that means no drinking for me.
11 days to Christmas and I still have to wrap a few of my presents, I really want to get them wrapped and out of my room now as they are starting to make the place look cluttered! Will talk more about what happens tonight sometime tomorrow so feel free to leave comments, I donít change for them. Oh thought I would get into the festive spirit with a new camera image, whatever was I thinking?
Todayís Christmas song is Do They Know Itís Christmas
Monday, December 13, 2004
Well Kevin was back in work today which I am sure annoyed the manager but for a different reason than you would expect. I think the manager wanted him to take today off so that she could have a strop about it tomorrow when he did come back. I may have mentioned that the staff Christmas party (meal) is taking place tomorrow after weeks of wondering if it would take place at all so I got it all organised and there was going to be the four of us provisionally but defiantly three of us so I spent the weekend convincing the fifth member of staff to attend which I did only to get into work today to find that the manager has decided not to go. To be honest with you I knew she would not go and was not really interested in her excuse, at the end of the day I canít force anyone to do something they donít want to do - unless I use my Jedi force
My Christmas cards were dry when I got home last night so managed to get them into envelopes and have them with me to post today, well a good proportion of them anyway and I finally took down my cards from last year (little tradition I have of keeping my old cards up until the following year Ė send for the men with the white coats now!) and hoping to get at least the same amount of cards this year, don't know why I put so much thought into getting cards and counting how many I get, am guessing this goes back to when I was in school and the more popular you were the more cards you got - I never got many cards
The rest of last night just seems a blur, I can remember watching television and then nothing until my alarm clock went off this morning, I was tired and can remember setting my alarms but how did my television switch itself off!!!
12 days to Christmas
Song for today is White Christmas
Sunday, December 12, 2004
Whenever I am off work on a Sunday it always feels like a wasted day, I know I should not think like this but I donít seem to do anything interesting. Take today I get up at 9am and then proceed to write the remainder of my Christmas cards while watching Hollyoaks and while waiting for the glitter glue to set (oh why didnít I forget about the glitter glue!) I had a bit of a sort out of my room, I had started it a few weeks ago so was just carrying on with that as I do have a tendency to just leave things to one side so sorted out clothes that are of no good to me and binned them, clothes that no longer fit me were bagged and I shall take them to the clothes bank when I have filled the bag a little more and finally I got rid of all my old newspapers at the paper bank. I went off into town just after 12.30pm and as you would imagine this close to Christmas the shops were packed solid with people looking for last minute bargains. I did get some extra Christmas cards and a 2005 diary for myself, I really donít know why I buy one as every year I never use it as much as I should, and maybe next year will be different. I then headed up to my motherís house for dinner and to use the computer. So you can see why I sometimes think my Sundays are wasted!
Oh yes the last day to post cards to the United States for Christmas was the 10th December so it looks like I will be pushing it to get my cards for my American friends to them which is only 13 days to Christmas.
As I said yesterday the last few days at work have been really hard both physically and mentally, as we had to move the shop around in preparation for the winter sale (haha) then on Saturday morning we get a message telling us that the floor plan had changed and we would have to move things around again. It would not be so bad except that this has happened every single time we have to moved the shop around. I was however lucky as I got to leave early as it was so quiet so I finished at 3.30pm of course this will be remembered so when I try and claim back hours owed to me so I think it would be in my best interests to keep a note of this.
I bought a Christmas television guide the other day, this is the only time that I will actually go out and buy a television guide and am still waiting to have a good look though it and mark out what programmes and films I want to watch not that I think I will have that much free time with the nightmare hours that we will be working over the festive season.
Today's song is Silent Night
Saturday, December 11, 2004
It seems I was wrong yesterday when I assumed that the manager would not return to work after travelling home to check on the cat as when I returned to the store after my lunch she was back so I guess I was wrong on this occasion
Managed to get a few Christmas cards written last night but still no where near the amount that I wanted to but I really was not in the mood to write any more by the time I got home from work and had something to eat so instead I settled down to watch Little Britain seen it a few weeks ago but watching it again you always notice something you missed first time around and there was nothing else on. I did finish my book last night, which was a disappointment as I was really enjoying it and now that I am in this reading mood I will have to get something new soon. Might actually read some thing else by Michael Moorcock I really will have to thank my friend Nathan for loaning me that book all those years ago (I think it took me about 2 years to eventually send it back to him and that was only after I found my own copy of the book - plus the fact that it would have cost me loads to post it to France)
Not working tomorrow so if I can find the willpower I will wrap up the rest of my presents and get the rest of my cards written but I have a feeling that I will have to go out and buy some more cards and while out resist the temptation to buy anymore dvdís. Shame on you Kath for telling me about the 5 for £30 offer at Blockbuster.
As we near the end of the year I have been thinking about the last twelve months as I normally do and preparing my review of the year and was rather disappointed to discover that I have not gone to the cinema as often as I had planned so I will need to look at that and also the other goals which I had set for myself to do over the past twelve months and see exactly how I got on and make some new ones for next year, something like resolutions
14 days to Christmas.

Last night I met up with the ĒOrderĒ (sounds creepy!) it has been a long time since we had all gathered in one place to catch up, even though I have seen and spoken to both Fox and Mole separately in the past few weeks it was good to all get together. However this did mean that I was unable to get any more of my Christmas cards written let alone sent off, that is a job I intend to do tonight.
Over the past few days I have had this feeling that I cannot easily explain that there is something not quite right with things, I stand outside and something feels wrong not something that I canít put my finger on but almost as if something is not quite right with the universe. Or it could just be that I am slowly starting to go mental!
The assistant manager is off work for a few days so we all have to put up with the manager who has left the store to drive home to check on her cat, when you consider that it is a 35 minute drive there she really must care for that cat. When I return to work I half expect to find that she has phoned the store to tell us that she is not going to return, as there is very little point and ask Dot to work late tonight. Look at me as well as being mental I am also cynical as well
15 Days to Christmas
To get you all into the Christmas spirit I shall be displaying the lyrics to a different Christmas song each day today we have O Little Town Of Bethlehem so I expect to hear you all sing at the top of your voicesÖ.
Thursday, December 09, 2004
I really hate days like today; you know the ones, you expect one thing but something happens to put all your best laid plans to rest. Today I expected to finish work at 5pm as I usually do on Thursdays but on arriving in work I find that the manager is due in later as she is at home waiting for a delivery, no problem there then as two people can run the store adequately at this time of year. Half way through the day the manager phones to let us know that she will not be coming in as she has to take her cat to the vets, so there goes my hope of leaving at 5pm and the realisation that I will no longer be able to leave the store during my lunch hour either!!
Adding up all the time owed to me I must have close to 11 hours, which I have yet to claim back, and there seems very little chance of me taking them before Christmas and afterwards we normally have to start preparing for the stock take so it does look very likely that they hours will just disappear.
My dreams have been disturbed of late mostly concerning work and as someone who does not normally remember dreams I am wondering if it is some sort of premonition of things yet to come. Hopefully not as the dream was not that fantastic (why do I never dream of winning the lottery numbers?)
16 days to Christmas
Wednesday, December 08, 2004
Busy afternoon today as I attempted to finish off my Christmas shopping with a trip up to Llanelli was called for and town was as busy as normal but there did not seem to be a great deal of Christmas spirit in the air, a very down hearting feeling in fact. So today I managed to get something for my two youngest brothers and my step father so think that is about it.
I am really getting into this book I have been reading and am already looking for ideas of what I can read next so if you have any suggestions let me know.
Wednesday, December 08, 2004
My last entry may have seemed very sombre and I shall apologise for that as nothing ever ends it merely changes and that is basically that. I am still very good friends with Kath and hope to continue to be a good friend for many years to come.
Some of you may have noticed that in the last few days I have been updating the site and making other little changes all things to make maintaining this site easier for myself and to maybe give you lot something different to look at. I have been working on a new layout (I use this term in jest of course given my lack of graphical skill) or just changing the theme I am sticking to movies but after over a year it is time to say farewell to ďBack To The FutureĒ for the time being anyway - lol
If anyone has any suggestions for what I can add to my sidebar I would be interested in hearing your ideas, you know what to do leave comments.
Christmas Day is just over two weeks away and I still have so much to do I really did think that this year I would be a lot more organised and it was only the other day that it occurred to me that I still have to get two of my brothers something along with my stepfather. I heard back from my Gran who told me what to get my Grandfather and that was a hacksaw, which he has already bought so I will just give him the money instead! £16 for a hacksaw is it gold plated?
I have already missed the last post day for all my friends who gets cards off me in Australia, so really sorry about that Arienne and Chelsey and I have another few days to get the cards for the United States ready and posted so fingers crossed that I am not posting another list of people who are unlikely to get a card off me pre-Christmas. On the subject of cards I received my first yesterday off Janine so a big thank you - you should get your card off me before Christmas.

Today is a dark day for me but if I am totally honest not a surprise and that is Kath and I have called it a day. Of course I am upset about this and these feelings I have are hurting me no doubt I will get angry at the split before I can finally accept it and get on with things.
Not going to be nasty towards Kath if I can help it as everything I have said to her in the past is still true and these past few months have been special for me and have opened up my eyes to new experiences and for that I am thankful.
