Unlike many fanlist owners I would like to keep members updated with what is happening with the fanlisting, I realise that many of you did not join a fanlisting to receive numerous emails all the time from webmasters. Which is why I will limit the amount of these emails from ?Assume Nothing : The CSI Fanlisting. Further details can be found about this below. Contents.

Some members may have noticed that the message board which was set up has been suspended, I took this decision as I did not have the time keep on top of things and it was becoming a hassle to delete all the spam accounts which were being set up. Ideally I would like to bring back some sort of message board to the site but at the present time I cannot devote any time to this. Of course talking of spam the actual fanlisting has seen a large increase in false accounts and these are being filtered out prior to being added to the list. Saying that at present we have just under 5900 members and I am hoping that we will shortly be able to break the 6000 mark. I am still working on extra content for the site and have recently added information on the DVD releases and will hopefully be adding some interviews and transcripts. These can all be found in the EXTRA section.
2. Emailing Members
I have already written about this on the site but for those of you that don?t visit the site on a regular basis basically in the past when I have wanted to let members of the fanlisting know something I have sent out a mass email ? these emails have ranged from things such as requests to vote for the fanlisting or competitions and I have been told on more than one occasion that ?you? the members did not join a mailing list but a fanlist and did not want to receive emails every other week! I have myself joined other fanlists and the only time I ever get an email off them is when they have changed hands and I have to update my links.
I have looked at why I have sent these emails in the past and have to admit that a lot of the time it can seem like unsolicited mail so in future I will only send 2 emails per year, June and December with an update on the fanlisting. The only time I will break this 2 email rule is when the need arises, such as the site address changing ? but truthfully I can?t see this happening.
3. Competition Winner
Just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate Allan Lipton from Scotland for winning the CSI Season 6.1 Box-set
4. Competitions
?Assume Nothing? : The CSI Fanlisting plans on holding regular competitions, at the moment I am giving away a CSI Season 6.2 Box-set which is released in the UK on the 4th June 2007. The prize consists of one region TWO DVD and this competition is open members worldwide. As future competitions will not be sent via the member emails anyone who wishes to be kept informed of new competitions should either sign up to the dedicated competition mailing list or visit the site on a regualar basis. I can let members know that I am currently working on a giveaway that should be more universally appreciated. So visit the site today http://www.nightmare-relm.co.uk/csi/ and enter this competition.
5. Prizes
As I have mentioned previously I am planning on running many more competitions on the site and realise that a region 2 DVD is not exactly a fantastic prize if you live in Australia and can?t play these DVD?s. So I am looking for suggestions for prizes, these suggestions should be CSI related. Any suggestions please contact me directly.
6. Content
I am looking for CSI related content for the site, in particular from members of the fanlisting. In the past the response has been poor to such requests but I really would like to develop a section on the site, which displays the work of fans of the show, such as fan art or fan fiction. I am really looking for anything CSI related which fans have created. With close to 6000 members some of you must be more artistic than I am (quite a few I would have guessed!)
7. Removal
