This was not the first time that I have been to David Bull's house I had been there once before and knew that he lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Seeing that it was in the middle of nowhere there was a local pub just down the road and this is where I had my first pint.

As I have already said I was invited to a gathering (I would not call it a party) at David's house and I had no transport I was going to get a lift there with Andrew who was also going, between being invited and actually going one of them let it slip that they had already been to another such gathering and as you can imagine I was a little annoyed that I had not been invited and the fact that they had concealed the fact that they had met up before.

I did go and we all took a few cans to David’s with us and we had food and a few drinks before walking down to the pub - this was a small country pub called the Plough. As this was my first time drinking in a pub I was sure that I would say something wrong and look underage but my fears were ill founded as the landlord knew David and had served him before so it was pretty easy. We were soon walking back to the house and a few more drink’s and Andrew made his way to the toilet and managed to go sick - not in the toilet but in the bathroom sink! Since that day he has never been allowed to forget that night. We were up for ages just talking about various things and the next morning the great clear up was started, I will not go into details but will say that Andrew was given an empty tube and told to clean the sick and toilet.

That may have been the first time we all met up at David’s house but it was not the last, there were many more visits to the Plough and many more funny stories (don’t worry Andrew I will not tell them about the time you went sick on the table in the pub!).

Back?
